It’s almost needless to say that we live in the age of digital services and digital transformation/upheaval, right? Fortunately for us and all our customers, the concept behind digital services at LOAD is pretty simple: we take everything we produce and combine it into a digital service or product, taking into account all the customer’s requirements.
At first glance, this may seem like a very abstract concept, but let us enlighten you by showing you our simplified process in large digital blocks that represent our behind-the-scenes work.

As expected, our customers continue to challenge us to add more value through the digital products we deliver. To help them analyze and create a product that they want to launch in most cases, we will go through all the main blocks presented above. In this way, our clients will receive tailored communication/awareness with proactive and preventive actions that will benefit their final solution.
To be more precise, there is no specific or strict order in applying these blocks in our development strategy, as the entire process can and most likely will undergo changes depending on the client’s needs. To make it easier to understand, we will explain below what is usually covered in each block when developing a digital product.

The UX /UI block is where the creative part comes in because each case is different and must be handled according to the client’s expectations. Sometimes in this block, we find that the originally expected result is not necessarily what the end-user needs. So there are some steps that we follow religiously such as:

  • Stakeholders interviews;
  • End-users unterviews;
  • User needs validation;
  • Product & design research;
  • Design (wireframes; mockups; interactive mockups);
  • UX validation.

You may get familiar with all our working methodologies here.

In the frontend block, we need to understand if the product will have user interfaces that the end-user will interact with. Here we talk about user interfaces as:

  • Mobile applications – if it is a native application or a hybrid application;
  • Web applications – if it is something developed from scratch or based on a web framework;
  • Augmented reality applications;
  • Virtual reality applications – here it is also important to define the headset used (e.g. HTC Vive or Oculus Rift);
  • Decentralized applications (also known as Dapps). (We will talk about these applications in a bit more detail in the near future).

In the backend block, the need focuses on understanding the intent of handling and processing all the information that will support the product. This means analyzing whether one or more of the following scenarios can be applied:

  • Blockchain: development of smart contracts and tokens (FT or NFT) – (We will talk about these in a bit more detail in the near future as well.);
  • Development of APIs based on frameworks or from scratch;
  • Use of headless CMS or traditional CMS;
  • Artificial Intelligence:
    • Development of services for processing repetitive tasks – Robotic Process Automation (RPA);
    • Machine Learning Algorithms;
    • Bot services development.

In the Infrastructure block, we analyze where the solution will be executed and operated. Because without this important step, there will be no way to make our digital product or service available and ready for use. In our use cases, we, therefore, analyze whether the customer already has an infrastructure that can support the solution, or we state the advantages of each available option to make it clear which one fits the context best.

  • Blockchain (Protocol and Network);
  • Bare Metal (Dedicated servers);
  • Cloud (AWS or other).

In the area of quality assurance, we apply various metrics to measure and ensure the quality of delivery from the pre-development phase to production. To make this possible, we apply and go through all the steps mentioned below:

  • Code quality & analysis;
  • Automation testing & manual testing;
  • Continuous deployment processes;
  • Software monitoring processes;
  • Disaster & recovery processes;

The block of data storage and management is the grist to the mill. The concept around data is that data is everything and everything is data – this means that we need to be extra careful and wise when dealing with this specific block. From our perspective, we should always understand if the customer already has some sources that will allow us to build a better product. Even if these sources are not used in the end, they can help us understand some practices and define starting points for what we want to achieve in the end. Here we may be dealing with a huge amount of data (Big Data) that will be stored and processed with the backend services that will extract the valuable information for later use. Our customers should keep in mind that all information that can be shared is useful at times. We also need to look for data sets that can help our algorithms learn faster and better. We also analyze whether the data comes from IoT sensors, and we try to understand how we can get it. We also need to understand how the data is used by the product and how the customer can analyze and access it. Most or even all of the data can be stored, but most likely we need to treat, process, and mature it so it can be used for the product.

In 2021, it is no longer enough to “just” deliver a product that meets customer requirements. We need to incorporate the experience of continuous progress of the product. At LOAD, we review every step of the way to ensure that all customer requirements are met and that, above all, we are proud and confident of the product we deliver to our customers. Our job is to anticipate and avoid potential problems and assure our customers that they will receive a completely trustworthy product ready for launch.

By having LOAD by your side taking care of all of the idealized digital products, you get :

  • Less complexity;
  • More scalability;
  • More centralized expertise;
  • Achieve more with less effort.

In our hands, your future digital product is safe.
