Patrulheiros

“Patrulheiros” is a non-profit civil association dedicated to the voluntary monitoring of areas of recognized environmental value, such as forests, natural parks, lagoon areas, river basins and other protected habitats.
LOAD has developed an exclusive mobile application to support Patrulheiros’ monitoring activities. This application allows users to easily alert the responsible authorities, identify the nature of the incident, and enable a quick resolution of the problem with just the click of a button. The app works in a user-friendly manner: Users just need to unlock their device, open the app and take a photo of the incident they want to report. Users don’t have to worry about further communication, as the app takes care of this automatically. If there is no network connection, the app securely stores the picture, text and location internally. Once connected, the app sends the reported occurrences to the server.

In addition, the system has a back-office interface that allows administrative staff to view a map of all reported incidents. This way, they can forward the incidents to the relevant authorities and track the status of their solution.
