The Digital Product Research (DPR) for NetOne, a well-known telecommunication and Internet service provider in Angola, was born out of the need to develop an entertainment portal that would generate valuable digital content about Angola and bring together Angolans from around the world. The ultimate goal was to establish this portal as one of the leading entertainment and content websites in Angola.
To initiate the DPR, two members of LOAD traveled to Angola and worked closely with the NetOne team during the first phase. During this phase, they immersed themselves in the Angolan reality, gained insights into information consumption patterns, conducted interviews, analyzed industry trends and competition, and participated in brainstorming sessions, to name a few activities. Thanks to LOAD’s input, NetOne was able to determine the essential features of the entertainment portal, set the required resource allocation, establish the desired time-to-market, and identify the ideal target audience it should appeal to.
